Arkansas furnished nineteen students to the Missouri Medical College of St Louis last winter, besides a number of others to other colleges. All of these students that go out of state every year might be induced to go to Little Rock if the state would provide a large free hospital in connection with the college. The students only leave the state to go where there is a large number of patients to be treated and operated on,
These nineteen expended at least $7000 in St Louis and this is not more than the one-fifth of the amount that leaves the state every winter.
